Randy K Bradshaw

Welcome

Welcome to Randy Bradshaw Breaking and Training, LLC (RKB), where our primary commitment is the well-being of your racehorses. At RKB, we break and train slowly and easily, to ensure that all our horses are mentally and physically at their best when they head to the racetrack. And yet, despite never asking too much too soon of young racehorses, 90-95% of our graduates make it to the track as 2-year-olds.

This dedication to the horse’s welfare consistently translates to their success at the racetrack and in the sales ring. RKB has launched more than 60 stakes winners, 6 graded winners and Champions such as Animal Kingdom, Petionville and Artax, as well as the 2018 OBS April Sales’ topping 2-year-old, who sold for $1.1 million.

Other graduates include stakes winners Birdsong, Cowboy Culture, Elusive Mischief, Grace and Dignity, Lord Simba, Mastery, Somethingelse, Sporting Chance, Strong Mandate, Take Cover, Tequilita and Therapist, among others.

About Randy Bradshaw

Randy Bradshaw, born in Wyoming, caught the horseracing bug from his uncle, trainer Lyman Rollins at a very early age. After learning the ropes from Lyman, Randy opened his own successful public stable in Southern California before joining Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas for over 10 years in the 1980’s as one of his head-assistant trainers. While part of the Lukas team Randy was instrumental in caring for and training some of the most influential horses in American racing along with earning leading trainer titles stretching from Keeneland to Churchill Downs and Oaklawn Park to Turfway Park.

In 2000, after over 35 years traveling the United States training and winning major Stake races at nearly every major racetrack in the country, Randy shifted his focus to breaking and training young horses. First at Satish and Anne Sanan’s Padua Stables training facility and then for Frank Stronach’s breaking and training operation at Adena Springs South in Williston, FL.

In 2015, Randy bought 125 acres of the Robert N. Scanlon Training Center in Williston, FL, allowing for the perfect setting to grow Randy Bradshaw Breaking and Training, LLC into a premier program.  Randy has developed and maintained a strong clientele base including Everett Dobson’s Cheyenne Racing, Team Valor, Marylou Whitney, Bill Mott, Michael Matz, Kiaran McLaughlin and countless others.

Randy has developed innumerable Graded Stakes winners, Stakes winners and Champions such as Animal Kingdom, Artax, Cajun Beat, Fatal Bullet, Ginger Brew, Ginger Punch, Vindication, Birdstone, Citronade, Dame Dorothy, Eurosilver, Hedonist, I’m the Tiger, Mastery, Out for A Spin, Society Selection, Sporting Chance, Strong Mandate, Urbane, Silver Wagon, Spun Sugar, Sugar Swirl, America, Genre, Harlem Rocker, Light the City, Miss Netta, Silver Whistle, Sligovitz, Sugar Shake, Bird Song, Kinsley Kisses, Tequilita, Petitionville, Ulele, Cowboy Culture, Latin Dancer, Lord Simba, Opry, Sierra Virgen and so many more.
